About Our Logo

Our logo was developed to reflect Grayrose's commitment to be the leader in imaginative and innovative marketing techniques. 

The light bulb referencing creativity and the world globe referring to unlimited opportunities. The light bulb was then overlaid on top of a box to signify thinking "Out of the Box".

 

About Us

The company originally started as a USDA private label meat processor. Our private label account list included Armour and Co., Continental Foodservice (Sysco), United Grocers and Western Boxed Meats.

In 1985, the companies strong marketing influence on its private label accounts prompted the development of a marketing division specializing in sales of other manufacturer’s products.

A new name was established for the marketing division, Grayrose Foodbrokers. The unusual name was coined by the director of purchasing of a major distributor. By combining "Gr" for Greg and "ay" for Jay, Gray was added to Rose (based in Portland, the Rose City) to create Grayrose.

At Grayrose we continue to invest in the state of the art communications order entry and marketing systems.
